Last updated: 11 August 2026
1. Our Services
Renovation Estimating provides construction estimating services for residential renovations, additions and new builds across Australia. Our services may include Preliminary Estimates, Construction Estimates, Production Estimates, renovation estimates, new-build estimates, construction cost estimates, trade-by-trade cost breakdowns, quantity and rate estimates, budget and comparison estimates, review of existing builder estimates, and other estimating and cost-planning services agreed with you.
The specific scope, inclusions, fee and estimated completion timeframe for each project will depend on the service selected and the information provided to us.
2. Requests and Quotes
When you submit an enquiry or request a quote, you agree to provide information that is accurate, complete and sufficiently detailed for us to assess your requirements.
A quote may be based on plans and drawings, project specifications, scope of works, site or project information, the type of estimate requested, and project size and complexity.
If the scope changes or substantially more work is required, we may revise the fee and/or timeframe and will communicate material changes where reasonably practicable.
3. Project Information and Plans
To prepare an estimate, you may provide project plans, drawings, specifications, photographs, schedules, project addresses and other relevant information.
You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied to us is accurate, complete and current. We are not responsible for errors, omissions or inaccuracies resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or misleading information supplied by you or a third party on your behalf.
4. Estimating Services
Our estimates are prepared based on the information available to us and the scope of the service selected.
Depending on the estimate type, an estimate may include construction quantities, trade costs, labour, allowances, supervision, builder’s margin and other cost information.
An estimate is intended to assist with budgeting, quoting, planning and decision-making and is not a guarantee of final construction cost. Actual costs may vary due to material prices, labour rates, supplier pricing, site conditions, design changes, project scope, regulatory requirements and market conditions.
5. Completion Timeframes
We will provide an estimated completion timeframe when you engage our services. Standard and urgent estimating timeframes vary according to project type, size and complexity.
Same-day or urgent services are subject to availability and receipt of all required information. Any timeframe provided is an estimate only unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
6. Fees and Payments
The applicable fee will be communicated before work commences. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is required before estimating work commences.
Fees are based on the agreed scope; additional work outside that scope may incur additional fees; fees are payable in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise; and GST will be applied where required by law.
Payment confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the agreed scope.
7. Changes to the Project Scope
If you request changes after work has commenced, we may revise the fee and/or timeframe.
Changes may include revised plans, additional areas, additional trade breakdowns, additional reports, changes to the estimate type or substantial new information.
Material additional costs will be advised before proceeding where reasonably practicable.
8. Revisions and Corrections
If you identify an error directly attributable to an error or omission made by us, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
We will review the issue and, where appropriate, correct the estimate.
Corrections do not include changes resulting from new or revised plans, scope changes, new information supplied after completion, requested changes, market pricing changes or supplier/subcontractor pricing changes.
9. Customer Materials
Plans, drawings, photographs, specifications, documents and other materials you provide remain your property or the property of the relevant rights holder.
You grant us the limited right to access, copy, process and use those materials only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations and protect our legitimate business interests.
You warrant that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide those materials to us.
10. Confidentiality
We will take reasonable steps to keep confidential information provided by you confidential and will only disclose it where reasonably necessary to provide services, use relevant service providers, obtain professional advice, comply with law, protect our rights or interests, prevent fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, or respond to lawful government requests.
These obligations do not apply to information that is public, independently developed, lawfully obtained elsewhere, or required to be disclosed by law.

13. Estimates Are Not Guarantees
Our estimates are prepared using available information, estimating methodologies, technology, market information and professional experience.
An estimate is not a fixed construction price, builder’s quote, contract price or guarantee that a project can be completed for the estimated amount. Actual costs may differ.
You remain responsible for independently confirming final prices, quotations, contracts, specifications and commercial arrangements with builders, contractors, suppliers and other relevant parties.
14. No Building or Professional Advice
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, our estimating services do not constitute building certification, engineering, architectural, quantity surveying, legal, financial or tax advice, construction supervision, building inspection or site assessment services.
Obtain appropriate professional advice where required.
15. Third-Party Information and Pricing
Our estimates may rely on market rates, supplier information, industry data, software, estimating tools and other third-party information.
While we aim to use reliable and current information, we cannot guarantee third-party information is always accurate, complete or current.
Supplier and subcontractor pricing may change after an estimate is prepared.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, business opportunity, revenue or other economic loss arising from use of our website or reliance on our services.
18. Indemnity

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations where reasonably necessary in connection with a business sale, restructuring, merger, acquisition or other corporate transaction.
24. No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a right or provision under these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived that right.
Any waiver must be expressly provided in writing.
25. Severability
If any provision is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
